Hours of Operation
OP facilities will be closed for: Labor Day, Memorial Day, Martin Luther King Day, Good Friday, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, Fall and Spring Convocation, and the Spring Awards Ceremony as well as several weeks prior to the start of school each fall.

NEW Bike Maintenance Program
Come check out our fully stocked bike tool box and repair stand. Use of the tools and repair stand is open to the APU community. In addition we also have a repair manual on hand to help guide you through repairs and adjustments. All of this can be found in the Outdoor Programs Equipment Room and is available for use during regular business hours. Stop by and chat with us for more information!
Equipment Rental Program
Rental Agreement Forms:
A rental agreement form must be filled out each time equipment is rented. The renter is responsible for reading the rental policy in this brochure as well as the rental agreement form. Each rental agreement form must be signed by the renter and an Equipment Technician. Upon returning the items, an Equipment Technician will inspect and sign off on the return.
Rental Period:
Daily Rentals: Due on the next day by 12pm.
Weekend Rentals: Due on the following Monday by 12pm.
 Reservations & Cancellations:
Reservations can only be made for APU & UAA student groups or Non-Profit Organizations with approval of the Outdoor Program Director. Full payment is required upon reservation. Cancellations made 48 hours prior to the rental period will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the rental period will receive a 50% refund. No exceptions.
Late/Lost/Dirty/Damaged Equipment:
A late fee of a daily rental will be assessed for each day until equipment is returned.
Late charges are to be paid in full upon the return of the equipment, or within five business days. If the late fee is not paid within five (5) business days, the balance will double. If the balance is not paid within ten (10) business days the late fees will be turned over to the Dean of Students Office for student disciplinary action. Delinquent payments and misuse of equipment will result in the loss of all rental privileges. A $10 cleaning fee will be assessed for equipment returned dirty or wet. The cost of repairing or replacing the equipment is the responsibility of the customer. If the equipment is not returned due to loss, theft, or damage beyond repair, the renter is responsible for the replacement cost.
Liability:
The renter is responsible for inspecting the equipment and seeing that it is in the same condition that it was rented in. Renters use of all equipment is at their own risk. Renters have the opportunity to ask questions regarding the inherent risks involved in using the equipment and in the activity.
